Every day FUD attacks are ongoing. China threatens to ban bitcoin, commenters claim we will all die if we use it, quantum computers are discussed, and, of course, “the government will stop it” — the most clownish of all claims gets repeated. The government cannot even stop measures it started itself and called temporary.

And the idiotic assumptions in Joe Kelly’s papers continue to ignore the instant defence of hard forking the mining algorithm and thus requiring no more than a software update with no loss of funds to all bitcoin network participants and the entire expenditure of the attacker being wasted — with just one change to one line of code!
